You will need certain tools, such as a tape measure, a tile cutter, a utility knife, a level, a hammer, and a trowel. You will also need tile, backer board, grout and grout sealer and spacers for the ceramic tile installation.

You will want to prepare the floors by clearing them and removing items like toilets and baseboards. After preparing the area, you will want to lay the backer board, or the underlayment.
